Also, I have had the privilege to grow as an athlete in one of world’s best former USSR figure skating schools and being a Member of Russian and Belarusian figure skating National teams. Over the course of my skating career, I have trained under world-renowned figure skating coaches and choreographers. At present, I am a PSA/USFSA certified figure skating coach with a degree in Athletic Development and Sport-Science from Moscow State Academy of Physical Education and an athletic performance enhancement specialist (certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine). I also work as a Strength and Conditioning Personal Trainer for both figure skaters and other athletes.
Besides that, I am PSA Certified in Free Skate and Certified in MIF, CPR/AED/First Aid Certified. Along with this, I have obtained a Degree in Early Childhood Development from Moscow Olympic College.
Throwback to my coaching career:
Once I retired from my skating career, I was determined to start a new chapter. Coaching seemed like the right fit for me, considering my passion for skating and prior training. These factors led me to start coaching at Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville, IL , and All Seasons Ice Rinks, Naperville IL. Later on, I worked at All Seasons Ice Rink in Naperville, Illinois, Rocket Ice Arena in Bolingbrook, Illinois, Canlan Ice Sports in Romeoville, Illinois.
My professional association with Chicago figure skating community began over 18 years ago. I started working as a Figure Skating Coach and then as a Skate School Director. By 2014, I was training Theatre on Ice Teams as part of the USFSA TOI program.
I bid adieu to Illinois after seventeen years of service when I moved to Southern California, Orange County. I offer Integrated off-ice conditioning and Sport-Specific training for figure skaters. These lessons are designed for different age and level categories in both Youth and Adults (recreational and competitive).
I have taken the most relevant on-ice and off-ice training techniques from old Soviet Union Figure Skating School and sport- science researches and combined them with newest available methods in athletic training and performance enhancement backed up by US National Academy of Sport Medicine. My professional background as a figure skater, professional training and academic qualifications serve as a winning combination for trainees. I would like to share my milestones to give you a better idea of who I am and what I can do for you.
